Description : The Hotel Rea is a family-run hotel. It is situated in a quiet corner in the center of Heraklion, behind the Historical Museum and within walking distance from the Lions square. It is close to the Archaeological Museum, the Venetian port and the public market. The bus stations are easily accessible since they are close by. The hotel is quiet and reasonably priced. It offers an ideal stay to all travellers, especially to the individual and to those who travel alone. From the port it is 15-18 minutes on foot. It is very easy to come. As you exit the port turn right and walk along the main road( Sof Venizelou Avenue) and towards the fortress of Koules. After 15 minutes walking, you will see on left side of the road the Historical Museum and next too the ruins of a Cathedral Church (You will also see green grass and a park on the right side of the street). Beside the Museum is Grevenon Street and from Sof. Venizelou Avenue you will turn left on that street. After 80 meters you will find our hotel on the right side of that street. with a car: After getting out of the Harbor turn right. Stay on that road for about 700 meters. You come to the old church of Petros & Paulos (ruins). Across is the Historical museum. Hotel Rea is behind the museum on Kalimeraki str. With a taxi: Taxis are always available at the port. The taxi ride is approximately 5 minutes.
